Johor cops to investigate claims of 'police protection' for illegal gambling - The Star Online - 27/9/2017 JOHOR BARU: Johor police will conduct an internal investigation into allegations that a district police chief was involved in illegal gambling. State police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said the investigation would be conducted after a video clip went viral on Tuesday. In the four-minute video, Yusuf Azmi and Ustaz Abd Halim from the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association (PPIM) claimed that illegal gambling activities were rampant in Johor. Yusuf alleged that illegal gambling outlets were mushrooming in the state because they have been “protected” by the police for many years.
